DAVID WIDGERY Memorial Night

8pm to 11pm, Sat 7 December, St Matthias Old Church, Poplar High St, London E14

Dave Widgery was a leading light behind the Anti Nazi League and Rock Against Racism in the 1970s. He worked as a GP in London’s East End and many people have fond memories of campaigning, disputing and drinking with him. Sadly, he died 10 years ago.

Friends of Dave have organised a Love Music Hate Racism benefit night in his memory, featuring live music from Motiv and a disco session from DJ Moth.

Tickets are ?8/?4 in advance, ?10/?5 on the door.

The benefit night takes place on Saturday 7 December at St Matthias Old Church Community and Conference Centre, Poplar High Street, London E14 (nearest station is Poplar DLR).
