The headline act is Duke Special.

He is an up and coming artist with a following that’s increasing rapidly. He played the Empire to a packed out gig on Thursday night and will be the main act tomorrow.

Duke Special has toured extensively this year throughout Ireland and the UK as well Germany. Three tours with Aqualung so far this year as well as one with Juliet Turner, the rest of the year sees him touring with John Power (The La?s, Cast) before starting a 25 date Irish tour in the Autumn supporting Dundalk singer-songwriter Stewart Agnew. Duke will be joined on many of the Irish dates by Derry?s R?a Curran on trumpet and harmonium. There will also be some headline shows in the UK in November. The Duke?s reputation continues to spread with Jack White (of The White Stripes) and The Hives among his growing set of admirers.
