I’d been expecting Friday’s gig to be a massive comedown after the enormodomes of Scandinavia, but it turned out to be possibly the best one …

Secretly recorded telephone conversations with Phil Edwards, the BNP?

It’s an honour for Anti-Flag to be working with “Love Music, Hate Racism”. Organisations such as “LMHR” give inspiration and lend hope to countless artists, visionaries, activists, workers, human beings the world over. With every song we write and every show we play, Anti-Flag, attempts to use music as a catalyst for social justice and equality. Music is the reason each member of Anti-Flag is involved in activism, and “Love Music, Hate Racism” is ensuring that music will reach and inspire others in the way music has inspired us?

Lethal Bizzle came straight back to us with his response (see previous News item), and also sent his thoughts direct to Cameron’s office who sent back a short neutral breply, only for Cameron two days later to put the boot into Lethal in an article in the Mail on Sunday. Cameron’s reply only underlined his clueless bigoted views on black music. See below for follow-up articles and links – and do let us know your views on politicians scapegoating black artists for society’s problems.

Tory leader David Cameron, has desperately tried to convince us he’s a modern liberal politician with his embarassing “i’m down with black people” and “save the planet – vote tory” press stunts.
But the liberal mask has slipped as Eton-educated Cameron displayed his ignorance about black music with ill-informed comments about hip-hop music.
In a bid to get headlines about his tough stance on knife and gun crime, Cameron trotted out the tired old racist myth that hip-hop music encourages violent crime.
