The first national LMHR university tour, sponsored by trade union Amicus, and supported by UAF, starts this weekend at Essex University in Colchester with a mega 3-room “indoor festival” featuring hot new drumnbass star Crissy Cris, Rampage, Lupen Crook, The Priscillas, and Nu-MCs. The tour is aimed at boosting anti-racist organisation on campus in the run-up to May’s local elections, with growing evidence that the fascist BNP is making a concerted effort to recruit students and try to gain repsectability by running for positions in the NUS. Each date on the tour will have a music event as well as hosting a debate on fighting racism and fascism at Uni. Click the title for the full list of dates.

Over 600 people attended the Unite Against Fascism national conference last weekend. Around 220 people attended the Love Music Hate Racism session at the conference – almost twice as many as the same event last year.

LMHR are keeping up the pressure for ‘BNP ballerina’ Simone Clarke to be sacked as a principal dancer at the English National Ballet. The ENB are holding their annual Gala fundraising dinner at the Dorchester. We have called a protest with Unite Against Fascism on Monday 19 February, 6pm outside the Dorchester Hotel, Park Lane, London W1.

On Saturday 17th February, UAF and LMHR are holding an important national conference. The British National Party (BNP) is receiving the highest levels of support for a fascist party in British history. In recent years its vote has increased in a context of rising racism, Islamophobia and attacks on multiculturalism. At the same time there has been much resistance from UAF marches and rallies to the hundreds of LMHR gigs and events up and down the country. We urge everyone from across the UK who wants to get involved in the fight against racism and fascism this year to come down to London on Feb 17th to listen, debate and link up with other anti-fascists.
