LMHR Club night featuring some of the best Urban music in the South!

Gallows are nearing the end of the UK leg of their worldwide tour which saw Love Music Hate Racism stalls at key dates plus Lethal Bizzle as main support.

Last week saw celebrated young music video director (Mo Ali – Lethal Bizzle/Fish Go Deep and many more) shoot a videofor Roll Deep’s song “Racist People” – which will also act as a promo for the LMHR campaign and inspire more music fans to join the fight to stop racism and the fascist BNP. Roll Deep penned the song after playing at LMHR’s memorial concert for racist murder victim Anthony Walker, and premiered it at last year’s LMHR Trafalgar Square carnival. The NASUWT teachers union this year agreed to fund a music video for the song as part of their support for LMHR. Read on for more pics and reports from the shoot, and watch out for the first clips from the finished article.

Last week’s NME featured a full page on the LMHR, NUT-sponsored CD compilation for schools. (See online version of the article here). We caught up with one of the artists taking part, Mercury-nominated singer-songwriter Fionn Regan, to talk about LMHR, music, and politics.

East Kent LMHR will be holding the first anti racist music festival in Whitstable on the beach on Sunday September 16th. The event starts at midday to 8pm with a fantastic line up of punk and ska music.
