Wednesday 14th November, 6pm @ Cathedral Steps
On the night of 14th November 1940 over 500 German bombers launched an assault on the city of Coventry that would leave nearly 600 dead and 900 injured. Mass burials took place on 2 occasions, and many of the dead lie in London Road Cemetery.
Yet Hitler lover and holocaust denier, David Irving, has chosen the anniversary of that dreadful night to visit Coventry and celebrate his disgusting Nazi theories.
For many years he has appeared before groups of Neo-Nazis to promote his racist ideas. He has claimed that he gas chambers at Auschwitz were a myth, and later that Hitler did not know what was gong on. He has been banned from Germany, Australia, Italy, Canada, Austria and New Zealand. He was recently jailed for Holocaust denial in Austria.
Don’t let this nazi lover use the right to free speech that was won by our parents and grandparents to spread his disgusting fascist ideas.
A Demonstration will take place at 6pm, Cathedral Steps, on Wednesday 14th November.
Coventry Unite against Fascism are asking all supporters to help maximise opposition and to support a protest in order to demonstrate that Coventry will not tolerate the Nazi, racist ideas promoted by David Irving.
