Wednesday 10th December 2008
Gather at 6.30pm, outside Hove railway station

We call on everyone who can to come and help create a mass peaceful protest that prevents the BNP from meeting in our city.
Spread the word – tell your friends, family, neighbours and workmates: No Nazis in Brighton & Hove. Brighton is a tolerant city which celebrates diversity and multiculturalism – let’s keep it that way!

Unite Against Fascism has called these protests against the screening by Channel 4′s of the documentary ” An Independent Mind” featuring convicted Holocaust denier David Irving. We are calling on our supporters in London to come out in numbers to protest against the platform being him.

The millions who died in the Holocaust, including 6 million Jews had their voices silenced. We have to speak out for them.

Join us to say no to racism and fascism from our public broadcasters.

Channel 4 intends to broadcast the programme “An Independent Mind” this Tuesday night 9th Dec on More4 and there is also a special screening of the documentary at the Royal Society of Arts, this evening at 6.30pm.
The broadcaster is publicising it heavily, and the special screening tonight, which is open to the public, at the Royal Society of Arts is hosted by Channel 4 News’s foreign correspondent Jonathan Miller. The channel describes it as a ‘.. unique film ( that) gives a voice to eight characters from around the world who have fought to exercise their right to free speech.’ What C4 doesn’t say is that the film’s eighth and final hero is Irving.
