Tickets for our “Love Music Hate Racism Festival 2009″ – taking place at Stoke City’s FC’s Britannia Stadium on May 30th – go on sale WEDNESDAY 25th MARCH. The event was launched to great enthusiasm today at Stoke City’s match with Middlesbrough, with Sam Duckworth aka Get Cape Wear Cape Fly performing at a civic reception alonside local heroes The Control, then addressing a packed stadium at half-time, when highlights of last year’s event were also shown on the stadium’s giant video screen. Stoke City staff distributed nearly 15,000 flyers to fans, and event partners Kick Racism Out of Football screened video messages supporting the event from top footballers including James Beattie of Stoke City, and Justin Hoyte of Middlesbrough.
