Love Music Hate Racism event – Thursday 16th April 2009
LMHR are hosting a gig @ Quest nightclub / Mustang Sally’s in Wakefield.
The BNP are fielding candidates in the European Elections, LMHR want to raise awareness and to encourage people to vote to stop the BNP!
LMHR are back with another amazing line up for their April gig.
The event will be split into two rooms the main room will be dance acts/DJ sets. The second room will be showcasing some of the best of the local indie band scene.
Headlining the event in the main room is techno DJ legend Dave Angel,
With support from LMHR DJs Wags, Rich Oates and Treg.
In the bands room Get Cape Wear Cape Fly will be heading up, with support from local heroes Last Gang, Matt Abbott (Skint and Demoralised), The Cover All grounds Faction featuring Jay Bravo, Tim Butane and Rosie Doonan.

Dave Angel
Techno DJ and founder of Rotation records, the well respected dance label. A worldwide DJ and producer, he entered the charts with his remix of The Eurythmics Sweet Dreams.

Twenty-year-old Southend native Sam Duckworth writes about his experiences, including sleeping on strange floors and getting drunk with fans. He mixes lap top action with traditional indie fare, and his voice bears more than a passing resemblance to Billy Bragg.

Labelling himself ‘Unorthodox and uncouth’ Matt Abbott started out reciting spoken word poetry at mates’ birthday parties. No wonder he’s touted as Mike Skinners successor. Frontman of Skint and Demoralised, Matt will be performing solo for the evening.
