The Love Music Hate Racism festival in Stoke-on-Trent on Saturday 30 May has unveiled its latest headline act: Peter Doherty, the acclaimed singer songwriter and lead singer of Babyshambles. He joins R&B star Kelly Rowland, formerly of Destiny’s Child, at what is shaping up to be one of the year’s hottest musical events — and one that sends out a powerful anti-racist message in the run-up to the 4 June elections. Head to www.lmhrfestivals.com for ticket and transport info.
Unfortunately, N-Dubz have had to pull out of playing at the Festival due to unforeseen changes to their recording commitments.
Fazer from the group says ‘We want to apologise to our fans that have bought tickets. It’s a great event that we wholeheartedly support. We would have loved to perform but sadly we can’t make the timings work alongside recording our new album’.
