R&B star Kelly Rowland is confirmed to play at LMHR’s 2009 Festival in Stoke. Kelly was a founder member of Destiny’s Child, the biggest r&b group in the world over the last 20 years. The singer/songwriter has worked as a solo artist since the band split in 2005 and has had chart-topping hits, won a string of Grammy’s and other prestigious awards and become well know for her work with young people affected by HIV/AIDS all over the globe. She is flying in from the US especially for the event.
Kelly said: “its great to be involved in such worthwhile cause. Racism is still an issue in everyday society and I think its so important to help raise awareness.” We’ve still got at least one headliner to be announced for the massive anti-racist event timed to help mobilise people to vote against fascist parties in June 4th’s European elections.
