LMHR artists Where’s Huey? support campaign against racist EDL

Love Music Hate Racism supporters Where’s Huey? have spoken out against the English Defence League – the racist organisation with links to the BNP.

The musicians spoke out as LMHR gets ready to support our sister campaign Unite Against Fascism’s counter demonstration against the EDL in Bolton on Saturday 20 March.

Where’s Huey? said:

Like the bacteria that grow from damp squalled cultured conditions, the parasitic EDL will flourish and ferment in manufactured fear if left unchallenged. We must all share the responsibility as human beings to defend our humanity, combating the division of reactionary hate with concrete actions of unity. The awkward pace of the few, are no match for the beautiful movement of the masses. Sharing much more than we could ever differ, the onus is on all of us, to do what we can to direct a better future, for love is the motive of change.

The UAF counter demonstration will assemble at 11am, Victoria Square, Bolton on Saturday. Click for details of coaches to the demo from all over the country.

We’ll be providing music and speeches to the crowds of anti-fascist supporters – come and join us. We need a united message on that racist and fascist groups like the EDL and the BNP “Shall not pass” into our town centres. See you there!
