Love Music Hate Racism can now reveal the eclectic and diverse line-up which will be appearing at the We Are Bradford unity event this Saturday. As previously announced We Are Bradord is an event aimed at uniting the local population of the city, as the racist English Defence League (EDL) plans to demonstrate.
The event will see musicians, mainly from Bradford but from many races, backgrounds and genres bring messages of support to the people of the city before performing whilst the racists demonstrate across town.
The Line up includes:
Justin Sullivan – Lead singer of legends New Model Army will be bringing an accoustic set to Bradford City Centre.
Also appearing is another Bradford mainstay, Joolz Denby – See what she had to say about We Are Bradford earlier this week HERE.
Eugene Bruce – Barnsley based grime artist who says:
“This year has been a manic one for me and standing up along side such a great movement will be the crowning moment topping my support slots with Tinchy Stryder and Professor Green. This means to much to me and something that is very close to my heart, I cant wait to get up there and do my part in fighting the EDL and racial discrimination.”
Young Kof. who wrote the track “Where did we go wrong?” following the racist murder of Anthony Walker in Liverpool.
Jkas - Muslim Hip Hop from Sheffield, he says:
“It’s beautiful to see such a diversity in ethnic and community support when it comes to a common cause. We hope that this will continue to endeavour throughout life as well as for such situations. We must remind ourselves: One heart, one Love, One Mind, Were all One Human Race. Peace”.
and the fantastic Truthful Movement will be performing.
Also appearing is LMHR’s own Baby J
The day will close with the Bradford All Stars featuring artists rooted in the community joined by VERY special guests.
