Organised by a dedicated team of local volunteers, and supported by local businesses, the festival will showcase the strength of Shaftesbury’s community and their common to desire to say NO to the poison of racism! And most of all, to share their love of music! Organisers’ say:
This one day festival is designed to be a community event, families and children, young and old. Everyone is welcome. The Festival is supplying a day full of live music from local bands in all genres as well as family entertainment and activities; there will be something for everyone.
Kicking off the musical festivities will be local
rockers Bad Connection with a combination of intricate guitar riffs, punchy bass and drums, with ‘rockin’ vocals! They are followed by Ben Crumpler and acoustic singer-songwriter Nick Tatham. Bringing in the afternoon will be Danni Sharp, the excellent Poole based rock cover band Crossed Guns, Vicki and Gary, and some heavy rock from Dorset’s own Against the Tide.
Bringing in the evening will be Trapped on Amber and The Early Hours who join London based three-piece agit pop-punkers Public Speech. Bringing the day to a close will be Isabel Aimee, and Lost Morals reviewed by Angry Badger as:
Taking elements as diverse as Supergrass, The Pixies, Soul Asylum and 60′s British rock and fusing them with Jono’s distinctive vocals, Lost Morals are a fresh take on classic heritage.
As if this great line-up wasn’t enough, there will be stalls, bouncy castles, bungee runs, and a circus on the day to keep everyone entertained, and with FREE entry there is no better day out for all the family!
