Car Park of NORSACA (North Staffordshire African Caribbean Association) Centre at, Lindsay Annexe, Canon Street, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent ST1 4EP The fascist BNP are this Saturday attempting to hold their first public rally in a city centre for many years. The inflammatory rally has been called, they say, in response to what they claim is unjust sentencing in the case of BNP member Keith Brown on whom neighbour Habib Khan committed manslaughter, a judge and jury ruled have ruled. BNP fuhrer Nick Griffin is attending and other racist thugs from around country have been invited. The BNP want to turn the Brown case into an anti-Islam crusade, stirring up more racist violence in the city in the process. LMHR, UAF and local group NorScarf, together with local race equality and community groups, trade unions and student unions, have called a Peace & Unity vigil in central Stoke in response - arguing that the BNP rally should be not be allowed to go ahead. We call on everyone concerned at the threat of an openly fascist rally in Stoke to come to the city this Saturday to show support for local people, and to protest to the authorities concerned.

Burnley Love Music Hate Racism festival will take place on Monday 14th September, at Burnley Mechanics, from 1pm onwards. The event will be a feast of rock, reggae, r&b, ska, punk, hiphop and DJs with an alcohol free area for families and a bar upstairs, Burnley's LoveMusicHateRacism festival has something for everyone. John McClure aka The Reverend - of Sheffield's Reverend and The Makers - has curated a stellar line-up of top, largely Yorkshire-based artists, as a response to the fascist BNP winning two council seats in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. The mega-gig takes place at Rotherham's 4,500-capacity Magna venue on Saturday 6th September. Please note we are no longer selling tickets online for today's Kaiser Chiefs LMHR gig, but there ARE tickets available on the day. The box office at the Magna Centre will be open for cash sales only from 2PM - tickets cost £20 each. Bands confirmed are Kaiser Chiefs, Reverend & the Makers, Roll Deep, The Courteeners and Richard H Kirk of Cabaret Voltaire - with a lineup of top DJs including Radio 1's Mistajam, Baby J and many more. During the day there will be a free event featuring local bands and family entertainment

Love Music Hate Racism's big summer party will take place on Sunday 31st August at the New Picket venue in Liverpool from 1pm onwards and features some very special guests. Entry is Free with a donation to Love Music Hate Racism. All ages are welcome

Love Music Hate Racism have planned a fantastic event in Queen's Gardens, Hull. The free festival will begin at 2pm on Saturday 30th August with an amazing line up already including; WILEY (exclusive with full live band), Sway, The Paddingtons, The Talks and Shanga Band amongst many others. There will also be a festival village with a Fountain Bar, Silent Disco and Street Theatre.

After accounts of racism in the local area, three students have organised a special Love Music Hate Racism gig to take place in Abbey Fields, Kenilworth on Saturday 30th August. Artists confirmed so far include: Tat Supreme, Revellers Riot, Three and a Half English Men, The Dandilions, The Sequins... ....With many many more! 12pm til 6pm FREE

Love Music Hate Racism will be holding a special show in Canterbury at the Orange St. Music Club on Thursday 28th August. The gig will be a diverse mixture of spoken word, music and poetry. Local hero Neil Sparkes will headline with Jasper Matthews, Honeydog and poets from Canterbury's own "Word" festival. Only 100 tickets have been made available so ensure you reserve your place early!

The Juicebox club night have kindly put together a fantastic show in reponse to the BNP's success in the GLA elections. The gig will take place at the Flag in Watford, on Saturday 16th August from 8pm onwards. The line up boasts some of the best artists from around the area and beyond. Entry is only £3 so make sure you get down there!

A special FREE gig has been planned for the evening after the UAF protest against the Fascist BNP's Red, White and Blue "festival." 7pm-midnight. Saturday 16th August, West End Community Centre, Derby. East Midlands Unite Against Fascism have called a protest against a fascist rally organised by the BNP in Derbyshire on Saturday August 16th. Despite significant local opposition - including the withdrawal of a premises (alcohol & music) licence by the local authority and police - the BNP are going ahead with their Nazi rally in the Derbyshire countryside. In previous years, BNP members were secretly filmed by BBC documentary makers singing Nazi marching songs at the event. UAF are calling on every organisation and individual opposed the BNP's attempt to hold an event aimed at stirring up race hate to protest near the rally site at Denby Lane, Codnor, Derbyshire from 9am on Sat 16th August. The Stoke Unity Project is hosting a special carnival to celebrate the City's diversity. An eclectic mix of artists and groups will join together in defence of Stoke's multi-culturalism in the wake of the BNP's presence there. There will be a number of activities taking place throughout the day for all ages.

The Levellers will be supporting headliners and festival favourites Shed Seven in the free concert in Victoria Square, St.Helens, on Saturday August 9th. Starting at 12 noon, this open-air festival will provide nearly 10 hours of exciting and innovative entertainment, combining established acts with flourishing new talent. Eclectica is just one of the highlights of a packed calendar of events taking place in St.Helens this summer, including the St.Helens Festival and the Brouhaha Music and Arts festival in July and the St.Helens Comedy Festival in September, is sponsored by James Edwards Land Rover (St.Helens). Over three days, this year's "Never mind the bullocks" fest will incorparate the best of both national and local acts, in a great festival raising money for the campaign. The three shows will take place on the 6th, 8th and 10th of August with a special FREE bonus show also planned on Saturday 9th.
